My Dear Madhudvisa Swami,

Please accept my blessings.

I am writing to find out what has happened with the Fiji affair. What has happened to the registration of the society in Fiji. When I left it was settled up that you would remain there until the completion, but I have not heard from you and I am anxious to know what is the situation there.

Please inform me. I hope this meets you in good health.

Your ever well-wisher,

St. Michael's College
University of Toronto

My dear Sripada Bon Maharaja,

Please accept my humble dandavats. When I was in Vrndavana, I was informed that you were staying in New York, but I do not know what is your address. Now, I understand that you are staying with Professor Joseph T. O'Connell. So, I am addressing this letter to his care and I hope you will receive it.

One of my disciples informed me that you had been in our Toronto temple. Now, I invite you to come to Hawaii. The climate is very nice here and I wish that we may pass a few days together in this nice climate.

I hope this meets you in good health.

Your obedient servant,
A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

My dear Nityananda dasa,

Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your letter dated May 31, 1975 and have noted the contents.

Thank you for the nice photos. Your Deities are very nice there. Regarding my coming there, we shall see later on.

I have accepted Caron Dempsey for first initiation. Her name is Krsna-pujya devi dasi. Her beads can be chanted on by Satsvarupa Maharaja. Be sure that all of the devotees there are very carefully following all of the regulative principles and chanting 16 rounds daily and let them study the books deeply.

I hope this meets you in good health.

Your ever well-wisher,

My dear Satsvarupa dasa Goswami,

Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your letter dated May 31, 1975 and have noted the contents.

Thank you very much for working so hard to distribute my books in the Libraries. This is very much pleasing. You will make your whole country Krishna Conscious in this way. Regarding the book review booklet, it can be included in another small booklet which I have just told Ramesvara to print called, The Hare Krishna Movement.

The Miami situation is a great discredit for us because we have made such a bad impression on the neighbors that they have had us kicked out. This is because of nasty management. Rupanuga was the GBC, and now you are, why it cannot be made clean?

Abhirama has proved his poor management, so he must be replaced. If you sell the old buildings and buy some land as proposed, it may be very nice. One thing is though, if the management continues to be so nasty, then that place will also be ruined. Management must be done very nicely otherwise it is useless.

Regarding your staying in Houston, yes, but do not neglect your other business. Jagadisa can take over New Orleans management. Yes, you will be my GBC traveling secretary in August.

Regarding, Bon Maharaja, I am actually authority accepted by authority. In the Caitanya Caritamrta it is said, krsna sakti vina nahe nama pracar. So, now the Hare Krishna movement is world known, and learned scholars, etc. give plaudits to me as Professor Judah has. So, then why I am not authority?

Nobody says Bon Swami has done it, or Vivekananda, or any other swami. There are so many yogis and swamis coming, but nobody is giving credit to them, they are giving the credit to me. So, why I am not an authority? If Krishna accepts me as authority, then who can deny it?

Besides that, in 1933, Bon was given the first chance to preach Lord Caitanya's movement in London. He remained there about four years and not a single person could be converted to become a Vaisnava and he was receiving regularly RS 700 per month for his expenditure, being supported by the whole Gaudiya Math institution, and still, as he could not do anything appreciable, he was called back by Guru Maharaja. Then where is his authority?

Our authority comes from Parampara system. If the Guru was not satisfied with him and called him back, and since then, he gave up connection with Gaudiya Math and started his own institution, then how he becomes authority? And in spite of all these things, if he is still authority by his own imagination, then people should ask him what he has been doing for the last 40 years, about the objective of Gaudiya Vaisnavism.

Even if he thinks that he has done, certainly he has not done better than me. Under the circumstances, accepting him as an authority, I am greater and better authority than him. So, all Vaisnavas are authorities to preach Krishna Consciousness, but still, there are degrees of authorities.

On the whole, if his motive is to suppress me and if that is why he has come here, how we can receive him? He has already given one Professor a wrong impression. He may be treated as a guest, if he comes to our center, give him prasadam, honor him as an elder Vaisnava, but he cannot speak or lecture.

If he wants to lecture, you can tell him that there is already another speaker scheduled. That's all.

I hope this meets you in good health.

Your ever well-wisher,
A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

My dear Pranava,

Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your letter dated May 26, 1975 and have noted the contents.

I agree to give Sri Ghanshyam das amount that you have mentioned, and he must donate the RS 25,000. and he can be a patron member with his brother. But, why you are asking for so much? You do not need 1 1/4 lakhs. You only need RS 75,000. Anyway the money can be paid by PNB upon my request, but first you make the sales agreement.

Then you take the owners' documents to our lawyer to make sure they are actually bona fide, and the lawyer will give a title certificate, if they are bona fide. Then you make the deed conveyance, and take it to the registration office for being registered. Then upon registration, at that time, you give the payment. Not before that time.

So, by the time you have done all this, the money will be ready for you. The land should be put in the name of International Society for Krishna Consciousness, Mayapur-Vrndavana Trust, Founder-Acarya A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

I hope this meets you in good health.

Your ever well-wisher,
A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

Why the guest house not yet started? Please let me know about this.

My dear Gopala Krishna,

Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your letter dated May 26, 1975 and have noted the contents.

It is a great credit that you have met with the Chief Minister and now he will give us all help. Why you did not apply immediately for the NOC? You should do it immediately, if you have not done so already.

Regarding Bangalore, I am not much interested in staying there. I have already got so many places to stay, but I cannot stay in any of them for more than a few days.

Why the guest house in Vrndavana is not yet organized? You have not even mentioned it in your report. That will pay for the maintenance budget if you simply organize it. You must do it immediately. Pranava and Dhananjaya together can organize it, or anyone else who may be able to do it, but it must be done. Why is there delay? Stop construction for the time being, and clear all of the debts.

Regarding Hong Kong, Bhurijana is in Melbourne and he is again ready to help there if he is needed. Yes, try to start a center in Malaysia. That Malaysian boy can help in this connection.

I hope this meets you in good health.

Your ever well-wisher,
A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

My Dear Professor Stillson Judah,

Please accept my humble greeting and blessings of Lord Krishna.

Since I have come to Honolulu from Melbourne, I got the opportunity to read your nice book, Hare Krishna and the Counterculture, with profound interest. I am also very much obliged to you as you have shown to me so much mercy, even by illustrating my photograph instead of your goodness. The presentation has been done just fit for ready by all scholars and educationists.

If you so permit I can ask my assistants to publish some important extracts from your work in our magazine BTG for benefit of all our readers. Besides that we can sell your book also along with our other books by arrangement. I don't know what is exactly your address and therefore I am dispatching this letter through my disciple Sriman Jayananda Adhikari.

I shall be very glad to meet you again when I go to the mainland. You have taken so much pain for writing this book and I thank you very much again & again. May Lord Krishna bless you more & more.

Yours very sincerely

N.B. I take this opportunity to present you one chapter of my translation of Caitanya Caritamrta under the caption Lord Caitanya in Five Features.

My dear Mr. Sharma,

Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your letter dated 1-5-75 and have noted the contents.

The best thing is if you continue to visit our temple regularly in Vrndavana at Raman Reti. The temple manager there is His Holiness Aksayananda Swami. Since I am overseas and cannot personally interview you, you please request Aksayananda Swami to recommend you to me for initiation, and then do the needful as he may suggest to you. By this process, it may be possible for you and your wife to be initiated as my disciples.

We are very strict in the selection of disciples. We are not after large numbers. In order to be initiated by us, one has to chant at least 16 times around his japa beads daily (the Hare Krishna maha-mantra), he has to follow strict rules such as: no meat, fish, eggs, no intoxication--including tea and cigarettes, no illicit sex, and no gambling.

I hope this meets you in good health.

Your ever well-wisher,
A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

My dear Krsna Vilasini devi dasi,

Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your letter dated May 29th, 1975 and have noted the contents.

There are many examples in history of persons who have been very much disabled physically, but still have executed Krishna Consciousness. Still, up to date in places like Vrndavana, India, there are many persons who are blind, crippled, lame, deformed, etc., but they are determined to practice Krishna Consciousness to their best ability.

So, you should also do like that. Simply be determined to practice the process of Bhakti-yoga with whatever abilities you may have. If you are really sincere, then Krishna will give you help.

If you require any medical help, you can take as much as is needed. I hope this meets you in good health.

Your ever well-wisher,
A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

My dear Mahamsa Swami,

Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your letter dated 24-5-75 and have noted the contents.

Regarding Acyutananda's preaching, what is the use of criticizing Sai Baba and creating some enemies? Do not do this in public meetings. It is different to do it in a private meeting.

You can discuss all details about the farm with Hamsaduta and then do the needful. He will be coming there very soon. Anyway I am forwarding your report to him for his information.

Regarding registration with the Endowments dept., you can discuss this with Gopala Krishna. I hope this meets you in good health.

Your ever well-wisher,
A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

N.B. We're not going to be controlled by the endowment dept. That is not good. They are all worldly men. Why should we be controlled by them? If possible start a center in [TEXT UNCLEAR]
